Footsteps in the forest was a free immersive Halloween experience celebrated the Gaelic festival of Samhain, marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. For the first time there was a dedicated night for Irish speakers. Children and families with Irish had the chance to take a tour through the magical forest and meet fairies, ghosts and even the Cailleach Beara all while learning about the history of Samhain.
This event was organised by Newry, Mourne and Down district council.
