This September we held the first Sean-nós Ard Mhacha Theas fesitival in Tí Chulainn, Mullaghbawn. We heldsean-nós singing workshops with Irial Ó Ceallaigh and Diane Cannon for U12 and over 12s. We also had a lúibíní workshop for the first time ever with Aodhán Ó Ceallaigh. We also invited musical guests Gwilym Bowen Rhys and Padraic Jack from Whales and the Aran Islands for a specail Celtic Connections concert.

Competitions were held on the Saturday where the winners were as follows:

• U12 Sean-nós Singing – Neasa Ní Gribín
• 12-15 Sean-nós Singing – Lauren McNamee
• 15-18 Sean-nós Singing – Cara McCreesh
• Senior Sean-nós Singing – Garrett Doran

To close out the festival there was a singing session with our invited guests and a performance from Screelin that evening.
